Grey Does Not Last Forever

The grey does not last forever
rays of sunshine
burst forth and sever

Gray can be a torment
Gray can give solace
yet also
the hot rays of sun
that feel like they won't relent
can also provide
warmth too and fun

We need both
in our garden that grows
soft rain
and gray shadows
hot rays of sun
to burst the seeds
to growth

warm streams of light
that send growth
on its flight
