Remembering a Time of Innocence

I remember
the trip seeming so long
the ugly noisy city roads
canceling out my "song"
I remember
a narrow country road
lined with orange lilies
bursting forth
I remember
a time of innocence
signaled by the flowers
that we were getting close
Our destination final
heralded by masses of orange
singing THEIR song
"light as a feather"
they laughed together!

More Stuff

Stuff
maybe it does have a purpose
maybe it fills a void
maybe the clutter hides
the emptiness?

Stuff

It has been a long day
overwhelming
clutter
dust
STUFF

STUFF
that has been sitting
for years
unused
forgotten
unnecessary

Why do we think
that we need this
STUFF

did it EVER
really serve a purpose?

Where is "light as a feather"?
Where is the laughter?
Where is peace?

Where are those matches?
I don't need this
STUFF!!!

and they believe it....is it really a false reality (to them)

It's always amazing to me to hear an intelligiant,
